If I had it to do over again, I would optimize for where I’m going to learn the most. Not make the most money, not have the best lifestyle, not city to live in, but where / who can I learn the most from.
The ROI on knowledge is still undefeated. You have plenty of time to make money, focus on your lifestyle, and pick your city.
You’ll never have the freedom and lack of real responsibility you do today, so instead of wasting it, leverage it for everything it’s worth so you can do all that other stuff later.
Not a popular take for sure, but one I standby – speaking purely from experience.
