Was talking with a friend of mine who recently started his entrepreneurial journey, meaning no more W-2 and out on his own. Scary stuff for sure ๐
He was talking about the internal battle he has with himself everyday. It’s definitely real and the hardest part early only.
One of his hobbies is surfing. He’s also really good at it.
I walked him through how going out on your own is a lot like surfing. Early on you get the crap beat out of you, just like paddling out on a big day. The waves and whitewash can pummel you.
You just have to make it through and eventually you get out past the break and can enjoy experience and ride some waves.
I let him know he’s literally just strapped on his leash, that’s how early he is. He’ll need to get in the water and just keep paddling, eventually, if he doesn’t quit, he’ll get out past the break.
For anyone out that there who is just starting out, just keep paddling.
